I’ve just started going through the CFA Level 1 material on Equity and honestly, the introduction to industry and company analysis feels a bit overwhelming at first. Like I get the broad idea of top-down vs bottom-up, but some of the smaller details are still confusing. While searching for notes I weirdly landed on a page about Random mailing addresses which obviously had nothing to do with finance, but it made me realize how easily we get distracted online 😅. Anyway, for those who’ve already studied this section, did you find industry analysis more straightforward than company analysis or the other way around?
