sir, isn't exporter aware of the risk of counterparty risk

i think that before any party come into a forward contract they have to put some collateral with third party for surety that if one party fail to fulfill their obligation then their collateral money will transfer to the winning party. so the exporter didn't know of the fact of the counterparty risk?

because they lend their services mostly outside the domestic country and earn in dollar so when they convert their dollar into INR, when the INR is depreciating, they will get more INR in exchange of dollar
